The IREA contacted us regarding a scam that has hit three Bennett businesses as of 05/18/16- and they asked us to share the information with our members in case you are contacted.
A scammer has contacted three businesses today in Bennett stating that if they don’t not pay their past due business within 15- 30 minutes, their electricity would be turned off immediately. Those businesses reported the information to the IREA office, which confirmed that – THEY DO NOT CONDUCT BUSINESS IN THIS MANNER.
DO NOT PROVIDE ANYONE YOUR INFORMATION- instead take their contact information, then contact the IREA directly through the phone book.
