  • Calvary Chapel Bennett Fall Festival

    BENNETT, CO— Calvary Chapel Bennett will host a fall festival from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. at the Bennett Community Center. The afternoon will be filled with activities and prizes while supplies last. All activities and food are free.

  • Barr Lake State Park Harvest Festival

    BRIGHTON, CO— Barr Lake State Park, 13401 Picadilly Road, Brighton, Colorado 80603 @ 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Midway games for kids to win prizes, hay rack rides, kids’ crafts, face painter. Pumpkins and corn stalks available (for appropriate donation) from our own patch!

  • Arapahoe County FairGrounds Annual Choctoberfest 

    AURORA, CO— Arapahoe County, 25690 E Quincy Ave, Aurora, CO @ 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Join Colorado’s most indulgent chocolate and beverage festival! Hopped-up chocoholics snake from booth to booth tasting chocolate, from dark and pure to sweet and milky, gooey to waxy smooth, with nuts, infused with tea, slathered on cakes, infused into alcoholic beverages, baked into brownies and artfully rolled into rich, melty truffles. Add the Chocolate Happy Hour, chocolates paired with wine and beer, entertainment, and kids’ activities  for an event to remember! A percentage of profits will be donated to The Action Center to benefit needy families.

  • Search and Rescue Agency seminar in Bennett

    COMMERCE CITY — Adams County’s search and rescue team will host a public forum on the dangers of winter weather driving @ 10 a.m., at the Bennett Community Center. Topics will include Rampart Search & Rescue’s role on I-70; winter weather preparation and seasonal car kits; winter driving safety tips; what to do if I-70 is closed; and what to expect from the agency during winter emergencies. Rampart Search & Rescue locates stranded motorists; transports essential personnel, patients and medical staff when roads are impassable; and secures or blocks road hazards. The Bennett Community Center is located at 1100 W. Colfax Ave.

LIBRARY NEWS

  • Little Explorers

    Davies Library @ 10:30-11:30 a.m. Children ages 2-5 and their parents can discover new concepts of science, engineering, math and art at this new series. 

  • Professional Antique Appraisals

    Kelver Library @ 11:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.; 12-12:30 p.m.; 12:30-1 p.m.; 1-1:30 p.m.; or 1:30-2 p.m Patrons can bring up to three family heirlooms or other treasures for informal appraisals of their value. To have a piece of furniture appraised, bring a photo and a drawer (if applicable). No coins, stamps or rugs. Walk-ins are welcome but reservations are recommended.
