Out-of-state cop has gun, other equipment stolen at AdCo training site

On the morning of Dec. 5 an out-of-state law enforcement officer was attending training at the Adams County Sheriff’s training facility at 4201 E. 72nd Ave. and, while in class, an unknown adult male broke into his marked police vehicle and stole his police issued shotgun, tactical vest and possibly part of his uniform.

Adams County Sheriff’s Deputies saw the vehicle a short time later and attempted to stop the 2005 Brown F-150. The truck fled and pursuit was initiated but, because to the driver’s actions, the pursuit was terminated.

The Ford F-150 was stolen out of Nebraska Dec. 2, and was last seen with Colorado license plate QTG-450. If seen, residents are asked to not approach the vehicle and call 911.
