The Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office is requesting the public’s assistance with identifying a man responsible for victimizing a 92-year-old Centennial woman.
The woman discovered she was a victim of mail theft after the fraud had already happened. Fraudulent checks were passed using her account information, as well as personal information of the victim of a vehicle theft that occurred in Denver on March 12. Fraudulent checks were passed in the victim’s name at various businesses in the metro area. The victim is now dealing with nearly $3,000 in losses related to the fraud.
The suspect was caught on video at two King Soopers locations, 4850 E. 62nd Ave., in Commerce City, and 28100 Quebec St., in Denver. Attached are pictures from the video, which include a picture of a silver Nissan the suspect was driving at the time.
The suspect is an older, white male. In both pictures, he is wearing a yellow or gold CU ball cap. In one picture he is also wearing a Denver Broncos jacket. He appears to have a gray goatee.
The Sheriff’s Office is requesting that anyone with information about this crime or the identity of the suspect pictured to please contact Crime Stoppers.
